Children's activities to hire for your event
We have developed a range of unique activities where younger children (3yrs - 10yrs) and their families can make or do beautiful things, mostly using recycled and natural materials. In the process they learn something new, or simply enjoy and respect nature more.
Many activities use "fairy" folklore and storytelling as an incentive to get children involved and listening.
We can bring these activities to your event anywhere within England, between May and October.
For clarity of costs and requirements we have listed all our activities in their separate categories, but many event organisers choose to book a mixture of activities over consecutive days, which can reduce the costs.
Activities within a Tent
- either a medieval tent (on grass) or spotted dome (on solid ground)

45 minute magical workshops
Two specially trained and costumed leaders will begin with a story that transports children to another world and explains the real magical meaning of what they are about to make. Each activity teaches the folklore and natural history of the trees, plants or animals used in the story and children get to make a high quality item to treasure.
15 minute drop-in Insect Workshops
Led by three specially trained leaders. The makes are simple and quick to do, but very high quality and fun to keep. They teach children and their families how to identify some of our lovely British insects and some of their natural history.
Outdoor Activities
These take part outside in amenity woodland or wild gardens and meadows and are lead by three trained, costumed leaders. Children and families get to make things and play for as long as they like with natural materials learning just how much fun they can have together out in the wilds at little or no cost.
Fairyland Trust Special Activities
These activities are run by volunteers and aim to raise money for the Fairyland Trust charity, but they also provide lots of entertainment for visitors to your event.
